According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will wait until April to make a decision regarding his future in the sport.
The belief is that the Old Lady are more than happy to extend his contract by another year, whereas the 42-year-old appears to be contemplating the idea of hanging up his gloves for good.
Buffon is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation, and potentially of all time. His desire now is quite clearly to go after the Champions League title that has always eluded him, despite the fact that he already has a great deal of silverware in his trophy cabinet – including the FIFA World Cup.
For now, football fans around the world will have to sit back and see whether or not he stays with Juventus or decides to ride off into the sunset once and for all.
