England coach Fabio Capello has confirmed that seven players involved in last week's Champions League final have been excused from Sunday's friendly against Trinidad and Tobago.

Only Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, who has family connections in Trinidad, and Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge, who was an unused substitute in the European final, will travel to the Caribbean.

Chelsea defender John Terry, who scored in Wednesday 's 2-0 win over the United States, has been given an early holiday, along with Wayne Rooney, Owen Hargreaves, Wes Brown, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole.
