Carroll wants to stay at West Ham

“Of course I want to stay. I’m just playing football as it is and not thinking about that,” said the striker, who turns 30 on Sunday.

“Yes, I want to stay and I want a new deal but I can’t really think about that every day. I’ve just got to play my football when I get the chance.”

Those are the words of West Ham United forward Andy Carroll, who clearly wants to focus on getting better and improving instead of talking about his future. The former Newcastle United and Liverpool forward has certainly had an interesting journey in English football, but now, he seems to have his head in the right place.

Carroll helped the Hammers on their way to the next round of the FA Cup at the weekend, and when he’s on form, has the potential to be a striker worthy of breaking into the England senior team setup.
