Glasgow Rangers have left the top position in the Scottish Premier League to arch rivals Celtic, crashing to a 1-0 defeat by Saint Mirren.

The home side began the match in twelfth and last place, and hadn’t been given a realistic chance by bookmakers ahead of this game.

But fans at Love Street ended up celebrating a shock victory thanks to a single goal in the 77th minute. Stephen McGinn curled a great left-foot strike past the opposing goalkeeper.

As a result, Rangers now have to share the first place with Celtic, but the Bhoys have a slightly better goal record.
