Inter Milan have renewed their interest in Liverpool’s Curtis Jones as they work on strengthening their midfield section for 2026-27, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 25-year-old is open to the move and the two clubs are in contact, but their is still a significant gap in valuation as Liverpool consider the €20million proposed by Inter to be insufficient to get the deal done.
Though he rose through the Liverpool academy as a winger, Jones was moved into midfield by Jurgen Klopp upon joining the first-team ranks, and his versatility across the middle of the park has been invaluable for the Reds, despite the fact he has never established himself as a regular starter. In 2025-26, under Arne Slot, he was frequently deployed in the right-back role due to injuries suffered by Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong.
In all competitions, Jones has made a total of 228 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 22 goals and contributing 25 assists.
🚨 Inter keep working on Curtis Jones deal as negotiations continue.
He was top target in January and still top of Inter list for the midfield. ⚫️🔵
