Chelsea and Liverpool want Saint-Maximin

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Allan Saint-Maximin is attracting attention from both Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Newcastle United star has been the Magpies’ clear stand-out performer so far this season and both clubs are believed to be very interested in making a move to sign him next year – although it hasn’t been stipulated as to whether that’d be in January or the summer.

The 24-year-old had previously been linked with a switch to Everton during the most recent summer transfer window but it never quite came to fruition, opening up the door for an even bigger move in 2022.

The Blues and the Reds have both made really strong starts to the new Premier League campaign but an attacking option like Saint-Maximin is the kind of commodity that doesn’t come around every day. He’s a huge reason why Newcastle haven’t completely deteriorated and if they’re going to sell him, it’ll be for a pretty high price.
