Chelsea and Newcastle chase PSG goalkeeper

There are some interesting transfers of goalkeepers happening around Europe, but one could be really intriguing. Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola could be leaving the French club this summer for good, if Le10Sport are to be believed. According to their reports, Chelsea and Newcastle United are both interested in signing the world champion during this transfer window.

Areola, who was not needed at PSG this past season and was sent to Real Madrid as part of a loan deal that has seen Keylor Navas go the other way. But Areola, unsurprisingly, did not feature much, playing just 12 matches throughout the campaign, as Real Madrid already have their designated goalkeeper in Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian has been assured of that place and now two Premier League sides want to get the best out of that situation.

Chelsea would want Areola to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, whilst Newcastle still do not know if Saudis will take over, but if they do, then they will be eager to make a splash in the market.
