According to a recent report from Bild, Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in the possibility of signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng during the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old veteran was previously linked with a move away from the German champions back in January, mainly due to his lack of playing time. He has just one year remaining on his current deal, and at this moment in time, it doesn’t appear as if Bayern are all too interested in offering him a new contract.
If that’s the case, it could be interesting to see what kind of career he could have in English football. The Blues and the Gunners could both certainly use a bit more stability at the back, and while there’s no guarantee that Boateng would make a successful transition from the Bundesliga to the Premier League, it’s definitely worth a shot for either team.
