Chelsea go after Havertz

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Chelsea are interested in making a move to try and sign Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz.

There hasn’t yet been a formal offer that has been presented to the German club, but with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid both holding talks on some level, it’s safe to say that the Blues will face stiff competition if they want to get a deal of this nature over the finish line.

The belief is that Roman Abramovich is ready and willing to provide manager Frank Lampard with the funds he requires to make substantial changes this summer, starting with Timo Werner – alongside the deal for Hakim Ziyech that will see him become a Chelsea player next month.

Ben Chilwell and Declan Rice are also on the radar of the former England midfielder, but at this moment in time, it’s not yet known how serious his interest in Havertz actually is.
