According to reports in Italy, Chelsea are interested in signing Sandro Tonali. The 18 year old midfielder has been making a lot of noise for Brescia ever since entering the first team last year, and in the process, he’s attracted the attention of many top clubs around Europe. The Blues are said to be amongst the frontrunners but that isn’t saying much, with the man who has been dubbed ‘the new Pirlo’ being set to have his pick of teams to choose from.
Roma and Sampdoria have both have bids of around €12 million during the summer, with Chelsea being willing to go up to €20 million. Alas, Inter Milan could be leading the way as they plan to buy Tonali in January before loaning him back to Brescia for 18 months.
Given his age, that could be the best move forward for his development – although switching to Chelsea could still be a good move.
