Chelsea hold firm on Willian

Chelsea have rejected bids from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona for winger Willian, according to Sky Sports.

The Brazil international has entered the final twelve months of his current deal with the Blues, and potential suitors are chancing their arms with the window now open.

However, La Liga duo Atleti and Barca have been rebuffed in their attempts to secure the services of the thirty-year-old, who is closing in on three hundred appearances for the Stamford Bridge club.

He played fifty-six times in all competitions last term – the most games he has managed in a single season since signing from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in the summer of 2013.

During his six seasons in England, he has won two Premier League titles, the EFL Cup, the FA Cup and the Europa League and was named Chelsea’s Player of the Season at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

He has been capped sixty-six times by his country, scoring six goals.
