Chelsea interested in Lukaku

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Chelsea could be interested in bringing Romelu Lukaku back to the club.

The Belgian forward was never really able to get off the ground during his first tenure at Stamford Bridge and instead opted for stays at Everton and Manchester United before eventually making his way over to Serie A to join Inter Milan.

Now, however, it’s become clear that Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Lukaku and wants to try and get him back over to the capital.

They’re willing to take “concrete action” in their pursuit of this signing, to the point where they will actively consider a bid of around €100 million.

Of course, saying that they’ll do so and then actually pulling the trigger are two very different things, and in the current climate it often seems bizarre to think of a player going for a fee like that – so we’ll have to wait and see.
