Chelsea make sacrifice for Rice?

According to a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are attempting to free up space to try and sign Declan Rice this summer.

The belief is that the Blues will try and sell Tiemoue Bakayoko and Davide Zappacosta, and with the funds raised from those two transfers, they will make a move for Rice.

The West Ham United star has been heavily linked with a move away from East London and with Chelsea splashing the cash in a big way over the last few months, you’d have to imagine they will have one or two more tricks up their sleeve between now and the transfer window closing.

Rice has the potential to be one of the best players in English football and he knows that, but he also knows the damage it would do to West Ham if he does end up leaving. They’ve already had a bad start to the new season, and this would only add to their worries.
