Chelsea reach agreement for Lille defender

Chelsea are properly preparing for the summer transfer window. The Blues maybe did not do anything this January in terms of signing new players, after their FIFA ban was finally lifted. But that did not mean they were without plans and that has become obvious since.

Frank Lampard’s side has already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, completing the deal in February, just to show everyone they mean business this time around. Now, according to a report from Eurosport, Chelsea have agreed a 35 million euro deal to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille.

The Ligue 1 side will apparently sell their prized asset to the Premier League club, after the player was initially linked with a move to Everton. They were interested in the 22-year-old defender, but the Blues are the ones now getting closer and closer to wrapping up the transfer ahead of the summer transfer window. Gabriel made 24 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring one goal.
