Chelsea still want Haaland

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Chelsea are interested in trying to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

The proposed deal would take place during the summer transfer window as new manager Thomas Tuchel aims to make the sort of splash that very few clubs in Europe can afford right now. Haaland is under contract with Dortmund until 2024 but they could be tempted into selling him if they receive an ofer greater than €75 million, his release clause, which comes into effect during summer 2022.

While Chelsea also have a number of other targets that they’re currently keeping an eye on, you’d have to think Haaland is the sort of player that would really transform their team.

With that being said they do currently have a whole host of other top attacking stars within their ranks and if they are going to make room for Haaland, they’ll need to sell a few players – and fast.
