Chelsea target Arsenal winger Ethan Nwaneri

Chelsea are interested in signing Ethan Nwaneri from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. Nwaneri is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of next season, and Chelsea are ready to snap up the 18-year-old on a free transfer.

Arsenal are keen on keeping Nwaneri and have been in talks with the winger over a new contract. The North London club’s manager, Mikel Arteta, is understood to have assured him of his place in the team and of getting a decent amount of playing time.

Nwaneri burst onto the scene for Arsenal last season and got his chances because of the injury to England international winger Bukayo Saka. Nwaneri played 37 matches in all competitions for the Gunners last season, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the process.
