Chelsea have no immediate plans to sack Liam Rosenior as the manager, according to Football Insider.
The London club suffered a 3-0 defeat to Everton away from home at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the Premier League last weekend, which came after a similar heavy loss to Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “It doesn’t matter with Chelsea really if you’re there for long or not. They’ve got such high expectations.
“Pressure is always going to be on the Chelsea manager, that’s the nature of the beast, but they’ve got no plans to sack him just yet.
“Chelsea want to give him as much time and opportunity to turn things around there.
“They’ve still got the FA Cup to go for. They’ve got a nice draw and they’ll be hoping that they can go on into that competition and potentially win it.
“The main focus is to make sure they finish in the top five to secure Champions League football as well, that’s the most important thing for Chelsea.
“So if they do that I think Rosenior, his job will be safe for now. There aren’t any plans to make any knee-jerk reactions just after a couple of bad results.”
