Chilwell is Chelsea’s priority

Leicester City star Ben Chilwell is largely considered to be the number one target for Chelsea during the summer transfer window, according to a recent report from Sky Sports.

While the Foxes are ready and willing to do everything in their power to keep hold of the England international, they also need to prepare for the fact that Chelsea are going to come at them with everything they’ve got. Chilwell has four years remaining on his current deal, and while there is no pressure for the club to sell him just yet, Chelsea do see him as their number one left back target this summer.

Whether or not that’ll lead to any major movement remains to be seen, but it definitely seems like a feasible possibility.

If nothing else this is a story that isn’t going to go away overnight, and the Blues will be more than happy to let it play out that way.
