Cole open to Crystal Palace move

Carlton Cole has said that he would be open to a move to Premier League basement boys Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.

The thirty-three year old is currently without a club having been released by Indonesian side Persib Bandung last month and is keen on a return to England.

The former England international is closing in on four hundred club appearances, the majority of which coming in a nine-year spell with West Ham United.

He began his career with Chelsea and made nine league appearances in their title winning 2005/06 campaign before making a permanent switch to Aston Villa, having previously had a loan stint with them earlier in his career.

He has also had brief spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic, Celtic and USL side Sacremento Republic while he was capped seven times for his country.

Crystal Palace are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League having lost their opening seven games, conceding seventeen goals and failing to score even one themselves.
