Conte gone?

Sky Italia are now reporting that Antonio Conte is no longer the manager of Chelsea Football Club. The Italian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been questionable for more than six months now, with many fans and pundits believing that he’d eventually leave his position as boss. The news comes less than a day after it was reported that a breakthrough had been made in negotiations between Maurizio Sarri and the Blues for him to take over.

Antonio Conte has had a turbulent year in charge of the Blues despite their FA Cup triumph at Wembley back in May, with the rumour mill regarding his future clouding any accomplishments that were made on the pitch. Chelsea struggled to keep the pace with runaway leaders Manchester City in the Premier League, which could end up proving to be one of the main factors behind Conte’s downfall and Sarri’s simultaneous arrival at the club.
