Conte is top of Real’s wish list

According to reports in England and Spain, Antonio Conte is indeed at the top of Real Madrid’s managerial wish list. The former Chelsea boss has plenty of experience at big clubs and would likely suit the Spanish club’s system quite well, but there’s still an issue that needs to be resolved – and that’s Julen Lopetegui.

Julen has struggled to make any real kind of impact at the Bernabeu, and it seems like only a matter of time before he’s replaced. There are several managers who are believed to be in the running but Conte has been an ever present member of the rumour mill ever since Lopetegui started to struggle, and interestingly enough, this is starting to feel equally as inevitable as when Conte actually left Chelsea.

Real tend to try and stick it out with their managers but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be a possibility here.
