Coutinho set for Liverpool return?

According to recent reports over in France, Liverpool are more than willing to consider the possibility of re-signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona – just 18 months after he initially left the club. Despite getting off to a hot start during his time at the Nou Camp, the Brazilian hasn’t really been able to find much consistency within the first team as of late. Not so long ago he stated that he wouldn’t be interested in joining Manchester United out of respect for former club Liverpool, with many taking that as a sign that he’d also be happy to return to Anfield one day.

His £140 million move to Barca has been underwhelming when you really take the time to analyse it, but even with that being the case, it seems as if he’d be more than capable of slotting straight back into the mix with the Reds. Even if he doesn’t, he is a great option to have off the bench.
