Spanish media outlet Diario Gols is suggesting that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has urged the Los Blancos management to sign AC Milan forward Andre Silva.

Ballon d’Or winner is said to be against his club’s plan to go for Mauro Icardi and would rather have his compatriot Silva join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

Real Madrid have been struggling in attacking department this season and president Florentino Perez is said to be exploring the options ahead of the January transfer window.

The in-form Inter Milan captain Icardi has been earmarked as potential Real Madrid target but Ronaldo is not convinced a player with troubled past would be a good addition to the squad at reigning European Champions.

Instead, he’d rather have the 22-year-old former Porto star join him.

Andre Silva only moved to Italy last summer but struggled to make his mark in the league for Rossoneri. The Portuguese international has been recently publicly criticized by head coach Gennaro Gattuso and could be set for a move away from Milan once the transfer market reopens this winter.
