Crouch wants to play until 40

Veteran striker Peter Crouch has revealed that he not only wants to keep playing until the age of 40 but that he also wants to return to Queens Park Rangers. The former England international, who had a phenomenal goalscoring record on the world stage, has made over 200 appearances for his current club Stoke City since joining back in 2011. Over the course of the last decade and a half, he’s established himself as one of the most likeable forwards in the English game, and that only seems as if it’ll continue.

At the age of 37 it isn’t all too hard to imagine Crouch carrying on for three more years, and as well as that, the possibility of him returning to play for QPR would serve as a poetic end to his time in the sport. Crouch spent a year in the youth setup with the London club in 1994, before returning a few years later in 2000.
