Tottenham target Leandro Damiao says he wants to stay at Internacional, though he has not ruled out the possibility of a move abroad.
The Brazilian striker, who is also rumoured to be on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar, is currently playing for his club in the Copa Libertadores where he has hit five goals in three games.
And the 22-year-old’s recent form has only increased speculation of an imminent bid from one of Europe’s elite but he has insisted his immediate future lies with his current club.
He told TVCOM Esportes: “One day (the possibility of playing abroad) that day will come, but my career plan right now is to stay at Internacional.”
“If I do leave, then I hope it will be for a big club like my current club Internacional. A club which is always fighting for titles.”
“My current contract expires in 2016 but I am in no hurry to leave right now.”
Damiao has scored once in five appearances for Brazil since making his debut against Scotland in March 2011.
