Danny Ings 19/20 to score anytime against Fulham in Saturday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Danny Ings to score anytime

Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport

Simply looking to end their campaign with a flurry, Southampton will welcome a relegated Fulham to St. Mary’s on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Southampton might have continued on a woeful run since briefly topping the table back in November, The Saints did find a bounce earlier in the week. Coming from behind at home against Crystal Palace and eventually landing a 3-1 win on home soil, the South Coast outfit are hoping to land back-to-back Premier League wins since opening 2021. Managing to muster seven points from their last three contests at St. Mary’s, there is no doubt that Ralph Hasenhüttl will be calling on the red-hot Danny Ings to spearhead their charge this weekend. Bagging a brace against The Eagles last time out and firmly in contention for England’s squad this summer, the one-time Liverpool striker has recorded three goals in back-to-back matchups. Racking up 14 goals across all formats this season, Ings will be confident of extending on that tally this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Fulham might have managed to pick up that stunning 1-0 win away at Anfield back in March, The Cottagers have drastically struggled to match that level. Continuing on what has been a nightmare run of form over the past two months, Scott Parker’s side officially saw their future confirmed earlier in the week. Hit with a 2-0 defeat against Burnely in West London, their immediate return to the Championship was confirmed with three Premier League matchups remaining. In fact, managing to pick up just a single point in any of their last seven top-flight contests, it should also be noted that Fulham hold a worrying record away at St. Mary’s. Suffering back-to-back defeats on the South Coast, including a 2-0 defeat back in 2019, we’re backing another tough night for Parker’s side.
