Danny Ings 6/5 to score anytime against Norwich in Wednesday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Danny Ings to score anytime

Odds: 6/5 @ Bet 365

Looking to find a route out of the drop zone, Southampton will welcome fellow relegation scrappers Norwich to St. Mary’s on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, after battling from behind to snatch three points off of Watford on the South Coast last weekend, it appears that the mood around St. Mary’s could be on the rise. Also snatching a point away at the Emirates in a dramatic 2-2 draw last month, one man who has continued to shine for the Saints this season has been leading marksman, Danny Ings. Once again finding the net against the Hornets last time out, the former Liverpool striker has now scored in each of his last three Premier League matches on the bounce. Even more impressive, the 27-year-old has eight goals in his last nine matches across all competitions and should be confident of extending on that tally in midweek.

As for the visitors, while Norwich may have been disappointed to have only snatched a point off Arsenal in East Anglia last weekend, the Canaries appear to be showing some signs of life. However, still sat four points adrift of safety and seen to be one of the leading contenders for the drop this season, Head Coach Daniel Farke will be most concerned by his side’s issues at the back. Now shipping at least a pair of strikes in four of their last five Premier League appearances, they have also managed to record just a pair of clean sheets since making their top-flight return over the summer.
