David Seaman backs Petr Cech

Arsenal legend David Seaman has reiterated his backing of current goalkeeper Petr Cech, claiming that his experience will allow him to maintain the number one spot at the club. Cech, who is considered to be one of the Premier League’s finest ever goalkeepers, has experienced a drop in form over the last few years with many calling for him to be dropped. With the introduction of Bernd Leno to the club in recent weeks, a lot of fans believed that his days were numbered.

Alas, it seems as if Cech is more than willing to fight for his spot as he plays out what will likely be the final few years of his career. The Czech Republic international has built a reputation for himself as a fantastic shot-stopper in the Premier League, courtesy of his many successful years with London rivals Chelsea.

Leno, however, is ten years his junior and is threatening to become the next big thing at the Emirates.
