Dawson in demand

A number of clubs are considering a move for West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson, according to the Mirror.

Burnley, West Ham United and Championship champions Wolverhampton Wanders are all looking at the twenty-seven year old, who has been at the Hawthorns for the past seven seasons having signed from Rochdale in 2010.

He has racked up one hundred and seventy-eight appearances for the Midlands outfit in all competitions, scoring twelve goals.

He has played twenty-six times in the league for the Baggies this season but has as yet been unable to steer them to safety.

Internationally, he was capped fifteen times for England’s U21s, scoring six goals while he was also part of Great Britain’s squad for the 2012 Olympic Games.

West Brom have taken eight points from their last four games under caretaker manager Darren Moore but are still five points from safety with two matches left to play.
