Depay set for Barcelona in January?

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona have a deal in place that will see them sign Memphis Depay in January.

The Dutchman was widely considered to be one of Barca’s primary targets during the summer transfer window and when it didn’t go through, the attention then turned towards what will happen in January.

Depay has been able to revive his career with Lyon and when looking ahead to the future, you’d have to think that he has earned another big move. He may not have been able to set the world alight during his stint with Manchester United but he’s certainly got what it takes to thrive in one of the major European leagues, and Ronald Koeman will be the first man to make the case for signing him.

He may not completely revitalise them up top, but he’s definitely going to be a welcome signing for many.
