Drenthe wants to win titles with Hercules

Royston Drenthe gave one of the boldest statements ever in the world of football, by saying he wanted to win things with Hercules.

The Dutchman was presented at Alicante yesterday following his arrival from Real Madrid and he admitted to having big ambitions with the newly-promoted side.

“I am freaking out with this hobby. I love it. I want to make it very clear that I didn’t come to Alicante to live my life, but to win things with Hercules.”

Drenthe will have the chance to show everyone he is still a Real Madrid soldier as he is likely to be handed his debut in ten days’ time when Hercules travels to Camp Nou.

“I am ready for this game and it is true that playing Barca is always special.”

While everybody believes that Hercules face a difficult survival struggle, Drenthe has other ideas.

“It is too early to say, but if we can make it to the European competition, that would be great.”
