Eintracht Frankfurt secure Carlos Salcedo loan deal

Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have completed a deal that will see Mexico defender Carlos Salcedo move to Bundesliga on a year-loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Chivas Guadalajara man and a Mexico international has spent last season playing for Serie A outfit Fiorentina, where he left a rather good impression on Eintracht Frankfurt. Salcedo made the total of 25 appearances in all competition for Viola, but the 23-year-old Mexican has also become a regular for the Mexico national team.

Having officially confirmed the deal, the Bundesliga side admitted they observed Carlos Salcedo for quite a long period and are confident his arrival would be a significant boost for the squad. Eintracht Frankfurt finished last season in eleventh, but the German club is prepared to make a step forward and get in the race for European places next term.

Carlos Salcedo is due to join El Tri for the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia and will join up with his new club later in the summer.
