According to a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, Virgil van Dijk and Harvey Elliott are not positioning themselves to leave Liverpool.
In recent weeks, rumours have been circulating regarding the future of both men. Largely, this is due to the fact that both have joined a new representative agency.
It’s no secret that Liverpool have been struggling so far this season. The Reds are in desperate need of a few big results and if they continue to struggle, European football won’t be available for them next season – and Jurgen Klopp’s future at the club may also be in jeopardy.
In terms of importance, van Dijk and Elliott are up there with the most vital players at Anfield. Elliott is seen as the future, whereas van Dijk is still one of the best defenders in world football.
It’s not quite clear as to what will happen for them next on the pitch but if this report is to be believed, fans won’t have to worry about VVD and Elliott.
