Elneny set to leave Arsenal

According to a recent report from Sky Sports sources, Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny is currently in discussions with Turkish side Besiktas over the possibility of a season-long loan move to the club. Besiktas would proceed to pay his wages throughout the course of the loan, as the Egyptian star continues to go in search of some more first team minutes.

He isn’t going to be getting that at the Emirates under Unai Emery, and the gaffer himself made that perfectly clear recently. As such it won’t come as too much of a surprise for fans to see that he is on the verge of leaving, but perhaps what is a bit surprising is that it is only a loan deal.

There will almost certainly be some kind of an option to buy in the future, but for the time being, Arsenal don’t seem to be ready to commit to an actual transfer.
