Emery set to reject Newcastle

According to multiple reports, Unai Emery is uncertain about taking up the offer of becoming Newcastle United’s new manager.

There had been many rumours circulating yesterday that Unai Emery, current manager of Villarreal, had been offered the chance to take up the role of becoming the new man in charge of Newcastle United.

There’s a certain luxury that now goes along with that as a direct result of their recent takeover from the Saudi-led consortium. There’s going to be a huge investment at the club but apparently, Emery isn’t yet convinced that this is the move he wants to make.

Villarreal’s big win in the Champions League last night may have had something to do with that, reminding Emery that there’s bound to be a great deal of scrutiny and pressure on his shoulders as a result of the Magpies wanting to push away from the relegation battle they’re currently embroiled in.
