According to a recent report from AS, Christian Eriksen is not planning on renewing his current contract with Tottenham Hotspur. It’s no secret that the Danish international has been attracting the attention of some of Europe’s finest, with Real Madrid being located towards the top of that list. The Spanish giants have already done some pretty big business with Spurs in the past, luring Luka Modric and Gareth Bale away from White Hart Lane to the Bernabeu.
Eriksen is one of the only Spurs stars that has yet to commit his immediate future to the club, with his current deal only lasting until 2020. If he does indeed want to leave then Tottenham have two options: allow him to leave on a free, or cash in on him while they have the chance. If they choose the latter, then expect negotiations to start imminently as the summer transfer window rapidly approaches.
