Everton to bid for Cleverley

Everton are readying summer bid for Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, according to Sunday People.

The England international is likely to be offloaded at the end of the season following some under-par performances and the Toffees look ready to pounce.

Cleverley had already worked with Roberto Martinez during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic and it appears the pair could be reunited in the summer.

The Spaniard believes the 24-year-old has what it takes to play at the highest level and he is prepared to take a gamble at the end of the season.

Tom Cleverley has made a total of 21 Premier League appearances this season and has scored one goal in the process.

Despite his poor run of form, the midfielder still features in Roy Hodgson’s England squad and is tipped to play at the forthcoming World Cup.

Having recorded a 4-1 triumph over Aston Villa at the weekend, Manchester United are 11/10 for a top 6 finish.
