Everton go after Dzeko

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Everton are interested in trying to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko’s former employers Manchester City are also said to be in the race to secure his signature but right now, the Toffees are the ones leading the way as they look to add another veteran striker to their ranks.

Everton are starting to look like genuine contenders in the push for a place in the top four, and while that may seem a bit over the top, their start to the season up to this point speaks for itself.

Carlo Ancelotti is well aware of the expectations that currently sit in front of his team, but instead of shying away from the responsibility of pushing this club to the limit, he wants to try and get his squad in a position whereby they can start to attract some of world football’s biggest names.
