Everton are interested in signing former Marseille, West Ham United and Swansea City forward Andre Ayew on a free transfer, according to The Times. Ayew is a free agent at the moment, having left Al Sadd SC in 2023. The 33-year-old Ghana international is a versatile player who can operate as a traditional winger, wide forward or central striker.
The Toffees are really struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. Sean Dyche has recently been appointed as the new manager of the Merseyside club, and the former Burnley boss faces an uphill battle in keeping the team in the top flight of English football.
Everton are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 20 matches. The Toffees are two points behind 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in the standings now.
