Everton want Rodriguez extension

According to a recent report from Marca, Everton are interested in offering James Rodriguez a one year contract extension with the club.

Carlo Ancelotti believes that James is the man who possesses the ability to really get the Toffees to that next level, to the point where they could be competing for Champions League places next season.

He’s one of many players who is set to enter the last 12 months of their contract but the club wants to try and lock him down until at least 2023.

Rodriguez hasn’t always been at his very best during his Goodison Park tenure, but what he has done is provide a few moments of brilliance that remind us all why he’s so highly thought of.

Ancelotti is no fool and if he believes James is the man to grab this team by the scruff of the neck and guide them forward, we’d trust what he has to say.
