Ezequiel Garay set to return to Portugal

The chaos at Valencia continues. Former La Liga champions are in a state of frenzy, with the club being run in a way that has alienated fans from the owners. Peter Lim, who owns the club, is making moves which are angering both his players and fans and now team’s stars are ready to move on elsewhere. Ferran Torres is reportedly very close to joining Manchester City, but now the senior squad member Ezequiel Garay is set to leave as well.

Garay is expected to return to Benfica this summer, following his departure from Valencia. According to Portuguese O Jogo, the 33-year-old was in his final year of the contract at the Mestalla and now it expired. Therefore, Garay is available to make a movfe wherever he wishes, as a free agent and that will be Portugal.

He already played for Benfica, between 2011 and 2014, but six years later, he will make his return.
