Fabio Liverani looking to stay at Palermo

Veteran midfielder Fabio Liverani is not worried about his future at Palermo even though the club have yet to offer him a new deal.

The club management sees him as an indispensable member of the squad and they are not looking to find him a replacement.

“I never told them that they couldn’t buy a potential competitor for my place. I have never done something like that and wouldn’t dare doing it at Palermo either.

“But I am happy to hear that the President feels I am irreplaceable. We have a good relationship, genuine and honest. We have great respect for each others and that’s why there is a great feeling.”

Liverani also expressed his desire to continue with the club.

“I hope that new players will come to strengthen us. I am cool about my contract and have no rush to renew it.

“I have always underlined my wish to continue with Palermo so I will wait to see whether it will happen.”
