Fabregas to leave on a free?

According to reports in Italy, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will be allowed to leave on a free transfer as speculation continues over his future in the sport. The belief is that he can sign a pre-contract with a club outside of the Premier League in the January transfer window, before then spending the final few months of the season with the Blues before officially moving on to something new.

AC Milan have spoken with his agent and are believed to be the main contenders to land his signature, and the Italian side are also said to be in the market for a number of other high profile stars.

Fabregas has been unable to get the kind of consistency he’d like in terms of starting games for Chelsea, and now, it certainly seems like it’s only a matter of time before he waves goodbye to the Premier League in favour of a move abroad.
