Forest bid to re-sign Wilson

Nottingham Forest have bid £1.5m in an attempt to re-sign Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson, BBC Sport understands.

The 27 year old spent four years at the City Ground before moving to the Scottish Premier League in July 2011, having signed a pre-contract agreement with the club six months earlier.

He has made seventy-three appearances for Neil Lennon’s side, winning back to back league titles and the Scottish Cup back in May.
He began his career at Notts County before moving to Preston North End, initially on loan in 2006.

A move back to Nottingham followed, when Forest paid £300,000 for his services in 2007; money that was immediately repaid as the centre-back helped the former European Champions gain promotion back to the Championship in his first season.

Manager Billy Davies is also attempting to bring Wilson’s former teammate Wes Morgan back to the club from Leicester City, though the Foxes have insisted that he is not for sale.
