Further injury blow to Cristiano Ronaldo

Portuguese national team physiotherapist Antonio Gaspar has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be returning to action before October.

Manchester UnitedÂ’s winger will be sent back to Manchester in the next three weeks to recuperate after his ankle operation.

Gaspar added that he will be under his care for the next three weeks before Manchester UnitedÂ’s doctors carry out further examinations. At this stage the operation appears to have been successful.

Ronaldo has been in the spotlight for the last few months over his wish to leave English champions Manchester United for Spanish champions Real Madrid.
