Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 17/20 @ 1xBet

In what could prove to be a season-defining showdown for both camps on Saturday afternoon, Charlton will welcome Hull to the capital.

Starting with the hosts, while Charlton might be limping their way over the finishing line, Nathan Jones’ side know that a single point will be enough to officially confirm their Championship status. However, despite being sat firmly in the driving seat, the Addicks have shown a string of issues on either side of March’s international break. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 loss at home against promotion contenders Ipswich earlier in the week, Jones’ side have mustered just three points from any of their previous seven Championship appearances. Marking their return from March’s international break with a 2-1 loss at home against Bristol City, Charlton are desperate to find some much-welcomed defensive grit. Missing out on what was a golden opportunity last weekend as they had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against a Sheffield Wednesday, it should be noted that Jones’ struggling squad have seen each of their previous five straight outings finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, sacrificing their spot in the play-off places earlier in the week as they eventually had to settle for a 2-2 stalemate away at Leicester, Hull face what could be a season-defining trip to the capital this weekend. Despite only their goal difference keeping them outside the top-six, Sergej Jakirovic’s side are enduring a real wobble since returning from March’s international break. Including a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United on April 11th, Hull have failed to win any of their five Championship appearances since returning from the fortnight interval. Putting just a pair of second-tier wins on the board since the end of February, Saturday’s guests have also shown their own defensive issues. Despite heading into March’s fortnight break with a 3-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday, the Yorkshire-based outfit have claimed just a sole clean sheet from their previous 10 outings – a run that stems back to February 28th.

Bet: Both teams to score at Charlton Athletic vs Hull City 17/20 for Saturday’s Championship matchup @ 1xBet
