Gomis set for Marseile switch

Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis is closing in on a loan move to Marseille, according to Sky Sports.

The France international moved to the Liberty Stadium two years ago and now looks set for a
return to his home land ahead of next season.

Prior to his switch to the South Wales outfit, Gomis spent five seasons with Lyon while he began his career with Saint Etienne and has also had a brief spell with Troyes.

In total, he has made sixty-nine appearances for Swansea in all competitions, scoring seventeen goals.

He netted in each of his first four league outings last season but managed just a further three times in the rest of the campaign.

He has three goals in twelve appearances for his country, but hasn’t featured for them since coming on as a substitute in a 3-0 friendly defeat to Brazil over three years ago.
