Goretzka not leaving Bayern Munich?

According to a recent report from Kicker, Leon Goretzka will not be leaving Bayern Munich after signing a new contract with the club.

The 26-year-old is believed to have signed a new deal that looks set to keep him with the German giants until 2026. This would essentially bring an end to the hopes of Manchester United who wanted to bring him over to Old Trafford, potentially even during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils still have plenty of options at their disposal but it’s been well documented that midfield has been their big problem area so far this season. Pogba has been lighting up the Premier League through his assists but he needs another solid central midfielder alongside him who can hold the fort.

Goretzka has what it takes to be that man, at least in the eyes of some, and he may now be slipping away from their grasp.
