Former Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak looks set to return to Spain following a largely disappointing loan spell at WBA.

The 27-year-old Polish international moved to the Premier League in August 2017 on a season-long loan deal from French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.

But just like in Paris, Krychowiak failed to live up to the expectations at the Hawthorns and is currently looking towards the exit door following not more than eight Premier League appearances for the Baggies.

Polish media have picked up on a rumour being spread by the Spanish news outlet Diario AS, claiming that Krychowiak himself is hoping to return to La Liga where he enjoyed his best football with Sevilla and that Getafe are keen to capitalize on his desire.

The Polish international is eager to change clubs in order to restore his form in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and Getafe are reportedly willing to make his wish come true.

Krychowiak’s high wages could be the only possible obstacle here as PSG man is currently on a £108,000 deal and would have to accept a serious pay cut in order to be given a chance to revitalise his career.
