Guardiola reveals Man City won’t buy in January

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that Manchester City are not planning on signing anyone during the January transfer window. He made the short and sweet statement in the wake of the club’s win over Hoffenheim in the Champions League, which highlighted just how many injuries they’re suffering from. Alas, despite this, they don’t seem to be all too interested in the possibility of new faces coming into the Etihad – at least, not yet.

They quite clearly have one of the best squads in world football let alone just the Premier League or Europe, and it makes sense for them to wait it out and hope that their stars regain full fitness. While some may think that’s a risky strategy, and while others may believe that Guardiola is bluffing, he certainly seems to know what he’s doing.

City will return to action during the early kick off tomorrow when they host Everton.
